We are excited to announce the Rice STEM Summer Seminar Series. This series is designed specifically for 6th-9th grade students, teachers, and parents and guardians. All three series will take place during July and cover topics such as overcoming resistance to online learning, current STEM research at Rice, and applying and paying for college. These seminars are possible due to collaboration between the Rice Office of STEM Engagement (R-STEM), George R. Brown School of Engineering, and Tapia Center for Excellence and Equity in Education.
Seminars will last an hour long, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. CST. on Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays. Specific dates and topics for each seminar can be found on their respective pages. Space is limited so registration is on first come first serve basis.
Join us on Tuesdays during July for seminars covering overcoming resistance to and supporting online learning, inclusive teaching strategies, and more.
Join us on Wednesdays during July for seminars discussing cutting edge research at Rice University. This series is designed for students grades 6-9.
Join us on Thursdays during July for seminars including design challenges for you to complete with your student and paying and applying for college. Both topics are offered in English and Spanish.
